Why You Should Attend
From TRL to MRL
Hydrogen and fuel cell technical maturity continue to improve with the investments made over the last decade. In the Department of Defense acquisition community, this maturity is often described in terms of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). But this improvement in TRLs has not been met with concomitant improvements and advances in manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs). Improvements in MRLs must be made to get the manufacturability from the brassboard to the "assembly line" and drive down costs while improving quality.
Bridging the Gap
To go from TRL to MRL, some questions must be answered:
- What are the manufacturing protocols a company needs to meet in order to be considered as a DoD supplier for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies?
- Does manufacturing readiness, as defined by the DoD, enable product purchase by other government agencies/industry?
- Are there some known DoD needs that fit nicely in this planning consideration?
A Unique Opportunity
By attending the NHA Fall Topical Forum, you can help shape the MRL protocols for hydrogen and fuel cells.
This year's Forum features participants from both the DoD and the hydrogen industry, and will provide an interactive venue for discussing the needs and challenges for facilitating early market transition.
Forum Brief
The results of these discussions will be compiled into a Forum Brief and made available to all conference attendees along with the Conference Proceedings, included in the price of registration. The Brief will be marketed and made available to government employees and members of the NHA free of charge.
